The apparent switch of the stated topic and name of the thesis from Art History to the actual name of the video Inside and Outside the Window became specifically meaningfull to me in that it reflects my own search for understanding, meaning and finding my own place in life and society. The term art history becomes one of many symbols of understanding and learning about a certain topic and it's value system. History of Art and it's evolution is first presented as a unified story, to be learned and accepted on face value as the only truth. But at a certain point it begins to unravel and fall apart and one is forced to doubt exactly those learned and accepted values. What was once accepted as observed or directly experienced is suddenly questioned not only through historical revaluation, but also personal introspection, rejection of absorbed values and a search for new and inherent personal values. But I myself am becoming a part of history and I am no longer the observer, but become the observed and I begin to realise that the newly discovered values are just a revised version of the old and learned ones.

World War I in the History Textbooks before and after November 1989
ROLNÍK, Ondřej
World war I and its interpretation on the pages of history textbooks of the Czechoslovak and Czech communist regime before and the regime after 1989 provides a unique insight into the changing ways in which school system views history. A comparative analysis of these easily accessible materials enables us to notice and describe these differences. The research also involves a description of development of textbooks as a type of media, its physical and didactic attributes.

The History of Commercial Academy in České Budějovice 1960-2000

The dissertation is trying to catch live on Commercial Academy in České Budějovice and its history from year 1960 until 2000. The dissertation is divided into three main parts. The first part briefly describes the history of former czechoslovakia and newly created Czech Republic. Second part draws near a history of high seminary mainly economic) educational system from 1945 to 2000. And finally in the third part I am attending to history of Commericial Academy itself (previously High commercial school from 1.9. 1949 and after it High economic school till 1.9.1960)Even if the supplied information aren;t and not even can be all (because of unavailability of sources), still and all it catches quite big time period and serves compact view about history of Commercial Academy.
